Key Insights
Value chains are complex and diverse like the products itself.
The production chains of bio diverse products occur in complex environments with different social, community and cultural factors that go beyond mere commercial relationships. The service cannot be one size fits all, it must be alive and allow adaptation to different realities.
Relationships between offer and demand are asymmetric and unbalanced.
Producers are conditioned by unpredictable and uncontrollable environmental and social variables that alter production and therefore their economic stability; while consumers maintain their purchase demands motivated by a paradigm in which demand hopes to determine supply.
Learning by selling
The volatile life of producers implies that their needs are interpreted and made tangible in the short term, it is a way of generating trust in communities in which institutions have generated expectations that were not met before. This service should be focused on action and must do everything possible to activate their businesses.
